Nephrology
Nephrology is the medical specialty concerned with diseases of the kidney, its blood supply and the organs that control it. Nephrologists are primarily concerned with understanding the pathophysiology of kidney disease, managing complications associated with renal failure, and providing patient care for renal replacement therapy. Nephrologists also oversee patients undergoing dialysis treatment.
